"Sort of." I believe people use "sort of" to replace "uh, um" and to also soften the blow if in fact they are wrong. For example "I sort of thought that was mean," or "the argument turned into sort of a war."

I too hate "at the end of the day," and "we're pregnant!"

Random. Thank goodness that seems to be going away. I also hate f'ing cutesy speak like amazeballs, internets, interwebs, bananasface, and other tween crap that adults say like it's so cute! Please stop shortening words like that: totes, adorbs, presh — I will smack your face!!!

^^^^pp here.

No, it's pretty much always referred to as, "did you buy that at Nordstrom's or Ross's? Want to go to Panera's?"

Nordstrom's

Panera's

Ross's

Ann Taylor's

of course, I cringe when I hear Victoria's Secrets! She only has one secret.

I think they mean like going to ______'s store. So "Nordstrom's store"

I feel sorry for you, OP, that there are so many phrases bugging you! Really!

Well, technically ... you only need three periods in your ellipses. Unless it comes at the end of a sentence....

Whoops! Hate that sticky full stop key.
