If it makes you feel better, there are a good number of super models I don't find attractive. And there are also a few unconventional people I find attractive. I just don't find her attractive.

Even women in politics get put to a higher standard of how they "look". Like we can't accomplish anything unless we look pretty while doing it...and the fact that this young actress tries to battle that by putting herself out there in some unflattering ways- really challenges people and brings out the worst in some.

Plenty of women in Hollywood are into themselves and desperate to be the center of attention. Is it okay for them to be self-obsessed if they're traditionally "hot" but not if they're average or a little overwieght? Lena Dunham's character on Girls is refreshing because it's one of the first characters I've seen where a young woman who looks average, is slightly overwieght, and not a beauty queen is nevertheless engaged in sex, has relationships with men on the show, and isn't cast as the comedic sidekick who never gets any.
