I am 36 and "having fun" with a 24 year old. He is very mature and a fun guy, great in bed and we are just enjoying each others company. Most people think we are the same age, he says he always goes for older women and I am fine with it. Age is a number. End of story.

If you're in it for the fun good for you. If you're looking for marriage I'd keep your options open.

I'm interested in marriage and most definitely keeping my options open.lol I wasn't interested at all in him, because I thought he was much younger initially (19-21). I pretend as if I don't know that he's interested for now. The only reason I'm a little curious is he's kinda hot.lol

I think the older two people are, the less important age differences are. For instance, there is a huge difference between an 18 yr old and a 33 yr old, but not so much when they are 45 and 60..catch my drift?

A 30 year old woman and a 24 year old boy is a HUGE age difference. A 30 year old woman is prime marrying age. A 24 year old boy is just starting to sow his oats.

Why do you like younger? If you want a real relationship, you'd be wise to look 2-5 years older.

LOL 24 year old boy?

Unless he's a stupid and graduated late he would've had plenty of time to sow his oats through college and after graduation.

He joined the military at 18 so I'm sure he's had a GREAT time with the groupies overseas. I'm not dating him at this time, FYI. He's trying to work his way in as a friend, but it's pretty obvious he has a crush (others have pointed it out too). My preference is guys 27-34. I like men I could've been HS classmates with as we tend to have the most in common. Most of the good guys I know met and married women they met in their 20s. Up until recently, I've never been into guys younger than me. However, I've dated a few younger guys in my attempt to be more openminded and have been pleasantly surprised by the maturity and understanding of my situation as a mom. I definitely agree that 24 is probably too young and I'm not interested in flings.

By the way, I'm also dating someone who is 8 years older, which is probably my max.

I am 30 dating a 49 year old man. We both share the same career and have a lot of commonality i found most men my age to be incredibly immature and not very self directed. His wisdom, experience and intelligence are a major turn on and our "personal intimate life" could not be better. Age is nothing more than a number.

People might look at us and judge me as the trophy girlfriend but I can assure you its much much more than that.

A 24-year old "boy"?? Would you say the same about a 24-year-old woman? Give me a break.

What I find disgusting and gross is the men in DC who consistently date younger and younger DC women, as the newcomers arrive every year. I find these guys to be simply deadbeats.

My cousin is married to a man 20 years older -- in his early 60's. She is early 40's. He is looking at retiring in a few years but she has to keep working. I am wondering if this will become a problem....He is home all day on a permanent vacation and she is working. Plus he wants to buy a retirement home in the south and spend a lot of time there while she would be up in the more northern city still working.

I'm currently battling a situation where the GUY I like is much younger than me. And every time I tell a friend or talk about him, they make fun of me, or try to make me feel like some sort of freak.

16:41 - glad you can tell SO MUCH about a person from one post. (then again, I can tell that you're a jerk from your one post, so hey.)

A 36 year old could comfortably be with someone 25 (36/2 +7) up to 58 ((36-7)*2).

This was once how the Nation of Islam advised men to consider mates.
