What I said is that I wouldn't hurt someone just because I didn't like what they were doing or thought they had transgressed some norm I'd rather then not have transgressed. If someone physically harmed my dog I might behave differently. (Might - I say that, never having physically hurt anyone in all my life. I probably wouldn't do anything, is the truth, other than get very upset and shout. But other dog owners might act differently, and I think they'd be justified in doing it.)

Anyway, the larger point here is just don't be an asshole. Don't kick someone's dog, for Christ's sake.

I'm not saying there aren't inconsiderate dog owners. Of course there are. And I walk my dog on a leash, because I know he's not well-behaved enough to go off-leash.

And, for sure, I yell at those entitled moms in SUVs who barrel through stop signs in their SUVs while talking on the phone, almost hitting me and my dog. What I don't do is smash their windshields, or threaten their children, or do other things that cause actual harm to living creatures, even when I'd like to.

I'll say it again: if you kick a dog, you had better be a really fast runner, lady.

Then why did you threaten to kick her in the face? You could injure her, or even kill her and in either case you would go to jail. Your post does not make sense.

Just because your dog is friendly does not mean I want him jumping on me. Maybe I am allergic? Maybe I have a fear of dogs? Maybe I love dogs but would like to walk in the park today and not be bothered? There are reasons for leash laws. If you don't agree with them, contact your local representatives and try to have them changed. Until that occurs, please stop being a selfish, clueless dick.

Can anyone point me to the leash law in Alexandria, VA, if there is one? Constantly running into unleashed dogs here.
