Brooklyn's Deli, Wagshal's, Parkway Deli, Corned Beef King, and Attman's are all GARBAGE compared to Katz'. It's unbelievable what we settle for in this town (add bagels, chinese food, pizza, to that list as well)....

Apparently if you have not tried all the delis on pp's list in NY above then you truly have never experienced a REAL jewish deliLMAO.
and you apparently haven't learned to read since the I was quoting the poster who said that Parkway was better than a lot of the deli's in NY they had been to. If you want to keep eating crappy food be my guest. The rest of us know where to go.

LMAO. Anonymous wrote:I am a former new yorker, and I decided to try Attmans. Bad idea. Corned beef had no flavor, matzo ball soup was bland and served luke warm, and most importantly the food was RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. I almost left without even trying the food after seeing the prices, but I was so hungry I didn't care.

There are some people (i.e. snotty NYers) who will not believe any deli is good when its not in NY.
I have been to plenty of places in NY and they were NOT good Jewish delis.
We are not snotty. It's just we have high standards for food and have tasted what real deli, pizza and bagels are supposed to taste like.
Please let me know which good jewish deli in Ny you have been to that is worse than Parkway.
These are my favorite's
Carnegie
Katz's
Russ and Daughter's for lox, whitefish etc.
Zabar's (for lox etc)
Barney Greengrass
2nd ave Deli
These are continually ranked as the best in NY.
Please show me one list on great deli's in the US where Parkway ever comes up. Otherwise, I 'll stick with NY.
