Of bigger concern, IMO, is the fact that this prescription med is being kept in a low under the sink cabinet that is easily accessible to small children. That's how tragedies happen.

I might mention THAT to brother or SIL.

Maybe someone inadvertently left their prescription med in the SIL's bathroom, or her car or somewhere else in the SIL's house and SIL tossed the bottle into her medicine cabinet and promptly forgot about it. The person who left the bottle forgot about it, too, because they either didn't need the medicine any longer or they had a refill bottle at home.

For all you know, maybe it was BIL who tossed it in the cabinet and forgot about it. Maybe SIL isn't even aware that the bottle is in her bathroom.

Why jump to conclusions?

Why do you think it's the SIL who is the problem and not your brother, particularly since the connection is with your brother??

Depending on your relationship with your brother, I might mention it if I thought he would keep it in confidence.

OP, you do not know enough about this situation to consider your SIL an addict. At best your "evidence" is circumstantial. Every pregnancy is different so you can't compare her frequent doc visits to your less frequent ones. As others have pointed out, you don't know who those pain pills belong to or why they are there.
Keep your eyes peeled if you feel the need for odd behavior from either of them but please don't go accusing anyone of anything at this point.

Why were you in her cabinets? That is the real issue here. Were you raised by wolves?

Maybe she was out and her friend gave her the rest of hers. Maybe she is holding them for your husband's coworker's wife (who sounds like is a friend of your brother since they were at your house). I've actually had a friend's prescription in my house because she would have random flare ups and need a pill. And sometimes she'd forget them. Perhaps your SIL is closer to this woman than you realize.
