Really? They look like totally average people to me. I was expecting to see the visual equivalent of Heidi Klum and George Clooney the way some people were going on about their looks. LOL. Now some opinions reallllly got put into perspective on this board.

What did you expect? This is a town full of faces made for radio. The standards are way low here.

Never hurts to ask. He's a local boy and a grad of St. Johns and UMD and has been very generous to both schools.

Yes, the name UA is not very inspirational is it? In think that they should start a marketing campaign with the text message U A(re), as in U A(re) strong, inspirational, a fighter, fit, an outdoors conqueror, a free spirit, a hot momma.

Um, pretty much no yuppie kid, tween, teen or their sporty parent on the west coast wears UA. That is a large market, and little of that market cares to look like DC types, where I assume you get the impression that "pretty much every yuppie kid, tween, teen and their sporty parents wear UA."
The west coast tastemakers include large Asian and Latino influences, markets which I am certain UA would like to tap, and I do not see many (or any) Asians or Latinos on the west coast wearing UA.

I feel that UA has regional strength on the East Coast, but I do not observe so many West Coast kids wearing it. That is a market where UA still has a lot of work to do, it is wide open for a new competitor to come in and undercut UA -- and trends move rapidly from west to east.
That's actually a benefit for UA. UA can still be a great growth story as there are lots of fresh markets for it. International is a huge push they are making, with sponsorships of Tottenham (an english football club), getting into soccer and other lines such as footwear, casual wear, etc.
It'll never knock off Nike or Adidas, but it doesn't need to. There is room in the industry for a smaller player to thrive.
Competing on price actually would be terrible for UA though. The margins it has been able to sustain are a big reason for its rapid rise in valuation.
