I believe in certain bedrock principles of integrity, ethics, and spirituality that have no tie to any religion or deity and which I believe should be the cornerstone of everyone's life.

They are best summarized in the Golden Rule, karma, etc. Be kind to others, live your life ethically, treat others as you would wish to be treated (just scratching the surface but that's the idea).

And having done that, any god who is worth a bucket of warm spit would know that such a life was lived well and is worthy of respect. And any god that did not would be a false god not worthy of anyone's time.

Not according to most religious traditions. I think it's fair to make the argument that Christianity also isn't monotheistic. But even for those traditions that are monotheistic, there are a whole lot of different personalities. It's all a matter of personal choice, reflection of your own self in addition to upbringing.

I'm the Hindus and Heaven PP, not the Atheists are Smug PP. But I do think there's something in the idea that constantly questioning your own behavior, revising and apologizing/atoning are important components of the Christian conception of Heaven. Yes, atheists are capable of this too, in a secular sort of way.

I think there is probably nothing after death. We are just gone, and our matter goes back into the earth. However, I'm not a 100% die hard atheist. I'm open to there being some sort of after life.

I think that if there is a god and a heaven / hell, I would go to heaven. I live a good life and I help others and do good. I live by "do unto others". So, I would like to believe that if there is a god, he would just us by how we lived our lives and treated others - not just by if we believed in his existence without any proof.
