I love Estadio, though it's not new.

Range has gotten very mixed reviews. Debating on going there for brunch this Sunday. Reservations are plentiful since I guess everyone is gone for the summer.

Though I've not been, since it's a place I would want to take our kids, Daikaya is supposed to be the in place right now for the izakaya section. Ramen probably not the best setting for a leisurely couples dinner. They do take reservations for the izakaya part though.

Though not so new anymore, I would try for Little Serow, the Thai place underneath Komi. You need to either plan to wait or get there before opening, but that would be a place I would say is both hip, and food of the quality to justify it's reputation.

Range was without a doubt the worst service I have ever experienced. I even wrote a letter to the manager, never heard back. I am apparently not alone in this experience (from yelp to Tom Sietsama's experience). I was so pissed.

El centro is fantastic, so is le diplomat. Estadio is also great and a little older crowd than centro.

There is nothing hip in B-CC, but you could do worse than Food Wine and Co.
