sadly the only thin part of me are my eyebrows. I have to put on powder for them to be at all visible. i try to avoid the magic marker look but they are essentially invisible. so no, I don't judge, though I do find the shaving off and painting on a bit odd.

I've heard of women using rogaine before.

When women try to go for the look that models have -- most of the time it does not work. Either they have the comma look, or they have the thick then thin, of the where did your eyebrows go? look. You have to be young, with thick even brows and a VERY good person with the plucking to make the look really work. Otherwise it looks like trying too hard.

I rarely notice people's eyebrows unless they are distracting.

I actually get complimented once in a while on mine from other women. That throws me off, because I just don't think about them much. They are naturally long, thick, and cover a lot of area. Think Bert from Seseme Street. I can walk into almost any nail salon and they can shape them very easily since there's so much to work with. When it comes to how eyebrows contribute to a person's look, my motto is "do no harm."

By the way :24 back - does anyone know if that stuff you put on eyelashes to make your eyelashes grow longer will work on almost nonexistent natural eyebrows?

When I pull my hair back into a ponytail, I look sick because you can see my scalp in various spots. For eyebrows, it's either natural nothing or fake filled in. Neither look great on me but it's the hand I was dealt. Point being, don't be too quick to judge because it's not a choice for some.

True! I'm a pale blond. My eyebrows are sorta there but hard to see and thinning as I age. A facialist once said "You really shouldn't pluck out all these eyebrow hairs". I said "I don't". Silence in the room.
