What you seem to want is for all of us to pass judgment on her behavior in a negative way...while withholding any negative judgment on your behavior. Hmmm.

When someone texts me or calls me to ask me a specific thing (such as the shoes) I always respond when I get the text. It takes two seconds. If someone calls just to chit chat, I respond within at least 2 days. I think it is incredibly rude otherwise.

OP, it's not that you fucked up and didn't respond. Everyone does that. If you had posted on here and titled your post "Am I a terrible person for taking a week to respond to two emails" of course we would have reassured you.

It's that you posted that your sister in law somehow pissed you off when she sent the email worrying that she offended you. That somehow she was in the wrong for having been worried and sent THAT email. Get it? That took the cake.
