I have traveled to Thailand for 8 days in the past. The trip was great, but the flights were brutal. Stick closer to home. I'd vote for Iceland, especially since they have direct flights now.

Central America or Croatia. Asia is insane for 5 day. I try to make it at least 15 days. I couldn't imagine less than 10.
