The interviewer was ready to met early in the lobby of her office building, so I didn't even have a chance to go to the washroom and clean up. I spend the whole interview looking at her sideways, hoping she wouldn't see the poop on my head. Didn't get the interview.
Perhaps if you were honest about the bird poop and apologized for any inconvenience you may have gotten the job. Employers love honesty and loyalty from employees they hire, it provides a sense of trust, perhaps she sensed you were hiding something and didn't find you suitable for being part of the team. I would of been honest from the start about the bird poop and laugh it out with her, it would of given her sense of charisma and something to remember and stand out from the rest being interviewed for the spot, it would also provide her insight on how you are able to manage with stress or inconvenience on the job. IMO
