Occasionally women in my circle will try to pull off the two braids or two pigtails look. Frankly, only about 3 women I know have managed to pull it off, and those women are all super, super gorgeous and could probably look amazing with a mohawk.
I throw my long hair up in a casual bun most days and that works for me. It works best if you do it when the hair is still wet from the shower; it's harder to do with dry hair. You can experiment with how high or low the bun is, or how tight.
