I had about 30k then. 2 years later, I'm at around 75k since I've been focusing on retiring way before 65

When I was 30, I had about $60k in my 401k. Now I'm 36 and have just over $300k.

I think I had about $75K, plus a little equity in my house.
At 41, I have about $200K, plus another $200K of equity. The market has not been that great over the last ten years, so most of that is what I've actually saved and not gains. I've contributed 15-20% of income toward retirement since about age 25.

29 going on 30 soon. 83K saved so far and I make 68K/year. I started with a Roth at 23 and making under 30K/year so I'm happy. Have friends with substantially more saved and substantially less.

$5k? I didn't finish school until I was 29. I'm now 32 and have $30k in retirement accounts.
