To the OP - I also think that you don't have the child's best interest at heart. Take the vacation without him if you can't reschedule and plan on doing something different with the child at another time. I feel like time is a limited resource in this area when it comes to kids' activities, especially if the kids have a lot of varied interests. It's possible that this camp was scheduled over another much wanted activity. If you can't take another week off, I don't think he'll mind as long as he gets to spend special time with his family.

OP--What do you want to happen? Do you want the child to miss camp so he can go on vacation with you and his dad?

Uhm, no. The Ex isn't ruinging it, your BF screwed it up. Of course she said no, why wouldn't she?
