Great choice! Darnestown ES is a great school and the whole Darnestown/North Potomac area is a very nice place to live. Darnestown ES goes to Lakelands MS and later to Northwest High School, though the majority of Lakelands MS goes to Quince Orchard HS so it could be hard splitting from your middle school friends. You could also consider these nearby elementary schools:
-Jones Lane ES: Goes to Ridgeview MS and then Quince Orchard HS
-Thurgood Marshall ES: Goes to Ridgeview and then Quince Orchard HS
-Rachel Carson ES: Goes to Lakelands MS and then Quince Orchard HS
-Travilah ES: Goes to Frost MS and then Wootton HS(but this is in the Rockville area)
-Matsunaga ES: Goes to Kingsview MS and then to Northwest HS(but this is in Germantown area)

the vistas area and homes near northwest that are zoned to spark matsunaga and great Seneca creek are nice areas zoned to northwest as well homes ranging from 600-900Anonymous wrote:I live in Darnestown so I can tell you. Part of Darnestown goes to Jones lane es, which is a great school as well and is zoned for Quince Orchard. You could always move to Darnestown Es area and then try to transfer to Quince Orchard for high school though it is not always possible. Some of Dc's friends from darnestown es go to QO but most went private. Even though darnestown ES is better for ES, I would recommend moving instead to Jones Lane ES area or other areas around QO. You could always move to Darnestown and then move once your kids are in middle or high school so they will stay with their friends.

lmao yeah ok....Spark matsunaga, Ronald mcnair and great Seneca creek are the best in Germantown es in germantown an drew feed into kingsview. People who want good schools in germantown go there.
