of course if she was born into a Jewish, Zoroastrian, or Muslim family, it wouldn't be nearly as acceptable would it?

Love the Bushes (long live "W") but not particularly fond of the name choice. However, none of my business. Would like to know how she came up with the nickname though.

Love how they have ordinary hospital pictures already up on the Internet. Shows how don to earth they are - not looking for top dollar for the "first" photo nor are they trying to act all "celebrity" like a certain couple I know.

It's a nickname- they are not always logical, my mother has gone by bunny since she was a child, her real name is Eleanor, yes Ella or something else makes more since but she's always been Bunny or as my kids call her B.

It isn't intended to be short for Margaret. It's intended to be a mish mash of her two names, Margaret and Laura.

There is no combination for Margaret or Laura
Mila is short for Camilla. Nothing to do with those other names.

Her parents called her Margo as a child, though she soon became known as Marlo, due to her childhood mispronunciation of the nickname.
