You probably have nice, skinny calves. The kitten heels look terrible if you have anything else.

Okay, well I get compliments on my kitten heels all the time. Granted I work at a (large) non-profit, not a law office or major corporate ball-buster office, but still, frequent compliments. And yes, I still think of hooker when I see those 3.5" pump that someone posted just upthread. I certainly can tell you that those are matronly! They are, indeed. But matronly has its place, so it's fine. 3.5" heels aren't hooker-ish, either. It's all about context.

I would say yes, those are a bit on the older side.
3.5-in is far from hooker. These two shoes are conservative, but clearly you can see the heel is not inappropriately high.
Double-platform, peep-toe 4.5-in might be a different story.
