This exactly. Never thought this could be a possibility back in my 20's when I had more like 4-5 drinks 3 times a week.

This shouldn't be enough to affect anyone's liver enzymes.

I usually have 1 (sometimes 2) glasses of wine a night. Once a month or so if I'm out, I may have 3-4. Very, very occasionally I'll drink more than that and pay for it dearly the next morning.


Are you kidding me? Of course it is. My guess is her ALT is in the 60s.


Pfft. Just had a normal liver function test come back. I think a lot of people overestimate the resilience of the human body.

IMO I think people are drinking more frequently, but in smaller amounts per sitting. The uptick in microbrews, small-batch liquor, affordable good wine, etc. has made people more interested in trying new things.

Newish teetotaler here. I haven't had any alcohol in a decade. Family history of alcoholism. It's a real buzz kill to drink and worry whether the drink you're knocking back will be the one to lead you to alcoholism. Also helps that I take an anti-depressant and alcohol is contraindicated.
