Another PP with a younger FWB. "Closed off, indifferent and self sufficient" describes me as well. I have zero emotional energy and no desire to devote any time in an actual relationship with someone. Just looking for someone to hang it with, have fun with and have good sex with. Not desperate at all.

+1 Just looking for sex and companionship without looking for marriage and/or kids. BTDT. Being self sufficient and self confident with an pretty face and a very fit and slim body attracts a lot of men of all ages. Not "desperate" at all. Nothing to be desperate about. I have my pick of men.

Most of the time I make the first move so not particularly interested in men who are lazy or who think older women are easy. I like men in their twenties who share the same interests as me and are handsome and accomplished. These guys don't think I am ugly since they have their pick of women. They go out with me because I am "hot" ... and "easy" but only for guys who appeal to me and I am picky.

Youthful looking 50 yo divorcee here. It seems very common for these young guys to come after us. I've been on a few dates with younger guys (even a 25yo!), but I've found that the guys who really get me going and catch my interest are the ones close to my age.

I'm a little envious, though, reading about those of you enjoying young FWBs...

I'm 49 and have been divorced for 3 years. While I date guys around my age or older I find that while they are great dinner and theatre companions they don't have the sexual energy that I so missed in my marriage. I have a 33 YO FWB who is amazing in bed. I recently spent a week with him in the Caribbean and he really wore me out to the envy of the other ladies my age who I met, most of whom were married. At some point I know that I will need to move on as I would love to be in a LTR but until then I will enjoy myself.

I read a study not long ago that men who are consistently attracted to older women often had moms who gave birth at later ages - late thirties into forties.

The study speculated that that gave these men a higher tolerance for wrinkles and other signs of aging, and even made these things more attractive. I guess to the extent that we idealize our mothers that sort of makes sense.

Well, if both people want the same thing... I am in my 50s already been married, had kids, etc, BTDT, so now all I want is a good time and great sex with a cute guy without any drama. I am FWB with a 26 yo right now and it's just fun. No long term commitment for either of us which is just fine
