Sfh, 3 br 2 fb, Arlington. Bought foreclosure for $380k in 2008. Just refinanced so mort is $1,920 all in (taxes, insurance).

About $5,500 for a 15 yr fixed, and we prepay $2-3K a month on top of that. I can afford to stay home, but chose to work and spend a portion of my salary on accelerated mortgage payments.

About $5500. Mortgage is about 950k, but house was 1.6 so we put a good amount down and we have a high HHI so it's not too onerous. Our plan is to pay it off before we have 2 in college. This plan will obviously require a refinance
