2100 square foot house, over 100 years old. Latest Pepco bill was $85. We heat with gas, which was $140.

Just paid 140 yesterday.

BS...either that or you're on budget billing.

About the same here. Keep kicking myself to get the audit done and improve things for next winter

I don't run my air or heat all the time; I'd rather open my windows in spring/summer

Do you run a dehumidifier? If we don't run our air in summer everything warps

No I don't

Still not sure why it's so low. Someone is home literally 24/7, and no one is careful about our electric consumption. We have electronic devices plugged in and on all day, and two old fridges. I tried to get everyone to be better about it for years but gave up since the bills are so low anyway (in the winter).

I guess those CFL bulbs are a miracle.

Again, no complaints, just surprised. I guess it makes up for all our other bills being insanely high.

How big is your house? Do you heat with electric? Are you in SFH?

Our home: 3,700. Gas heat: $150-$170 in winter. Electric: about the same - not sure why - it is newer home, supposedly energy efficient. Keep at 64 during the day and at night - 68 when we are home. Blame our crappy builder.
