Sel de mer.
Gourmet mustards.

All can be found at La Grande Epicerie, the market attached to le Bon Marche.

This would be my list too. Also add some wonderful jams or preserves (esp ones with chestnut), which you can also buy at the grocery. Go to the Mariage Freres shop. I was just going to order some online the other day--want to bring some back for me?!

I brought back a couple Longchamp bags - they have colors there you can't get here. Big hit with a coworker and my teenage daughter. My favorite idea, though, is the one involving the grocery store - bring back French sea salt, interesting condiments, pate de foie gras, candies...I always do this when I travel and my kids love getting candy you can't find here.

A bag of madeleines from a regular grocery store.

I would so much prefer the consumables that others have mentioned to magnets and mugs, which have such limited use after a bit.

Cheese, chocolate, candy--you guys are making me HUNGRY!

And I second (or third!) the drugstore idea--there are so many fun beauty finds in other countries that are just staples for them. For us, they seem so novel and luxurious! Good prices, too.

Have fun!!
