Not the OP, but I would say it's because I'm not as perfect a parent as you.
Not sure where anything about being a perfect parent was mentioned. I do recall as a child and when we dined out my parents did not base where we would dine on whether or not we would be entertained. I think it's sad that this now needs to be a requirement to dine somewhere. Why not just find a McDonalds with a play room.
No kidding PP! What is it with all these crazy posters who think it's reasonable to try to plan a family outing where their children will have
fun! Nonsense!
Your idea of fun for your children probably involves ruining the meals of many others as your kids run wild but that is the "me" society in which we now live. Screw everyone else, my child MUST be entertained while he eats.
Wake up, please - the entire point of this thread is to find restaurants that are kid friendly so that the kids can have some fun with the activities provided for them and therefore not annoy other patrons. And why does everything have to be so all-or-nothing, anyway? Of course it is important to take children to restaurants where they will engage in conversation with their dining companions, speak at a volume appropriate to the setting, and use good table manners. Other nights, though, why not go someplace where they can stretch their legs a little and let their hair down? My goodness, must we act like the parents from Dead Poets Society?
