Odd comment about the airports because PG has BWI and Reagan. And obviously lack of good public schools in the District has not hindered the Bureau. No one says you have to live in the county where you work.
National airport is in ARLINGTON, which is in VA...not PG County.
I mean, it's across the bridge and probably pretty easy to get to from PG county. But it's not there at all.

I live in NoVa and I 100% agree with you. It only makes sense to spread the development over the entire DC metro area. It would be great for the whole area if there is more going on in PG business-wise.

I would rate Montgomery County as the most diverse. No race is a majority and there's double digit percentages of African-Americans, Asians, and Hispanics.

NP here. Well, when Montgomery County is listed as 63.6% white, I would say that is a racial majority. The 48.7% non-hispanic white is not a racial division. Whether the individuals are hispanic or not, they are still Caucasian. They are also culterally Latino, but that is their ethnic origin. They are still racially Caucasian/white. So I agree with the "What?" poster who questioned how you can say that no race is a majority when the statistics that you quoted yourself say otherwise.

When we moved to the DC area we chose to live in PG county for it's diversity. DH's job is in AA county and we first looked at houses there but found we liked PG County better. We live in an ideal neighborhood where we know everyone on our street and the majority of the people in the next four blocks. We live in a house but near apartment complex that is home mostly families and graduate students.
The large apartment complex near where the FBI headquarters is slated to go is under new management and crime is down. It was a troubled spot because the rent was cheap and there are 2,900 units there. Well, the affordable housing and section 8 is still available but this new management is not renewing leases for known trouble makers. While I still wouldn't hang out there at night I have volunteered at their elementary school during the day. Crime there has most certainly decreased there.

Prince George's is many things, but diverse it is not, unless you count fairly monolithic African-American to be diverse. Somehow, I doubt you consider Faifrax to be diverse.
