Great news , fyi it's a utility not a monopoly and what falls church water was doing was illegal

Well, you're going to get the water system at the end of the year. And I don't think the water pressure is going to change at all. I would bet money that FFX is going to raise rates once they acquire FCC, Vienna, and FFX city, and have a monopoly.

Falls church city is an asshole, they rip me off on my water and I am a fairfax county resident. My water is 20% more in falls church city with 30% less water pressure.

Sounds rather stifling, compared to having more course options and the chance to make new friends in middle and high school.

Not only are the schools better than most in Fairfax County, (except for maybe Marshall, Langley and McLean), but where else can a student graduate from in NoVA where they get to go to public school with the same friends from K-12 AND enjoy the benefits of a graduating class size of approximately 155?

FCC is definitely overhyped. The schools are not better than the good Fairfax ones and, for some purposes, they are worse because they do not have the large population that brings expertise and peers for kids not in the middle of the pack. The houses are so expensive for what they are worth and the taxes are high. You can use almost all the amenities even if you're not a City resident and, if you live in nearby Fairfax Falls Church, you can even walk to them!

I really wanted to like Fall Church City because we were moving from a community out of state that had the small town advantages. Still, I found FCC sort of run down and everything we could afford was close to $1M. It just wasn't attractive enough.

I think that sounds right, 1.1. It's a wonderful house (plus at the end of a quiet cul de sac).

I feel sorry for anyone that would buy that house and not be aware of the factory.

Everyone is saying that the Walden ct house is overpriced, and I agree. A house like that needs a ton of upkeep. What would be a good list price for a house like that? I'd guess around 1.1 mil even.

We looked at that Railroad Ave house. The floorplan is really nice and it has a killer backyard (big and flat). Our issue wasn't the power lines, but the cement factory across from it on the trail. It was really loud on the day we visited and you could hear it in the house. That said, I agree with the person who said it will sell in a week in the $900s. There is not much inventory right now in FCC.
