I agree. No one wants to admit the degree of student cheating going on. It's only one consequence of the high pressure of attaining top scores. The prevailing parental mantra, is "just don't get caught". Many of your "superstars" are the same ones engaging in the most "risky" behavior (drugs, drinking, sex), because they know they have a free pass to do what they want, as long as they maintain their superstar status. They know how easily their parents and teachers are fooled.
