V&D is not the real deal for me. Not even close - I'd rather eat a frozen Paul Newman pizza then eat Vince and Dominics. Read the reviews on Yelp. People either love it or they hate it. For me V&D pizza commits the following crimes: the pizza crust is way too thick, spongy, is lacking in yeast and is undercooked. Combine that with the cloyingly sweet sauce, barges of low quality cheese and canned mushrooms...gaaaaa.

If you like a thinner, yeastier, crisper crust, less cheese, a light hand with the toppings, a less sugary sauce, real mushrooms and no HFCS then you'll like Flippin. For me less is more. I wish I gone to high school where you went if you had pizza like Flippin Pizza.

Former ny'er and have to agree with this synopsis. Mama lucia also works for me. Still haven't found any place for really good bread especially Italian.

Now the coffee and bread is better and I've lived long enough to know what really matters. One consolation of getting older I guess.

Yep, but the bread here still sucks IMO.
