How does his wife have the abilities and experience to show that she is the best candidate for it? I don't want someone teaching the students that the Filipinos are Hispanic, let alone leading a school as an assistant principal. If DCPS really lets this happen, I will completely lose faith in it for one last time. Why is the nation's capital so low quality?

If they are sharing the building then he will not be supervising her? I work in a law firm and I know we have had a couple associates marry- basically they said they could not work in the same practice group. I have to agree with the poster that it is not uncommon, but if it happens should have some very clear rules and not direct reporting lines.

My home is in-bounds for Francis-Stevens. Speaking only for myself, I would never send my child there in its present format. I hope that the quality of educational offerings at the school will improve. To that end, I am glad to hear there will be new management, and happy that the teaching staff will be reviewed, and talented teachers retained.
Seriously? You're glad that the new management will be a husband - wife/ principal- asst. principal duo?
