Not bad at all. I started a thread asking people to describe APS schools to help those new to the area. Don't think anyone posted specifically about Jamestown but you may want to search the forum for that thread. Just a hint- it's best to get opinions from those who have visited multiple schools both within APS and outside of the district. Otherwise, there's no context for comparison.

A simple thank you might have sufficed! Your earlier posts didn't seem to indicate that you'd gone to the websites and learned about each school's exemplary project. (It's amazing how many people don't do that basic research!). It only took me 30 seconds, but I was happy to do some of that legwork for you since you were clearly asking what those special things were. My child doesn't go to Jamestown, so I can't speak to it firsthand. So sorry to have wasted my time being helpful!

You must be new. It's hard to post anything heartfelt on here without getting snarked at, judged, or called a liar.

I grew up in Arlington and attended what appears to be one of the more popular schools in North Arlington. My kids attend a Title 1 school in the middle of the county and I couldn't be more happy with it. In my experience, the only real difference between the Arlington elementary schools is the composition of the student body. The teachers are all excellent, the curriculum is the same, with minor differences in focus/emphasis, and bright, motivated kids with educated and affluent parents will, and do, succeed at any school.

Everyone on here will tell you their school is great. Some people will tell you to stay north of 50, or north of Lee Highway, or whatever. Few people who have experience at a Title 1 school will tell you that they don't or didn't think their child thrived there. Some people who don't have experience at a Title 1 school will imply that you are damaging your child's educational career by sending them there. No one will tell you they are unhappy with their choice.

Not sure how else to advise you. They all have niche programs/angles but in the end the are all very much the same, and very good.
