Carnival just announced they are giving each passenger an extra $500 on top of all the refunds. They are also cancelling the next 12 voyages for the Triumph.

And with tons of old people bitching about the food. No thanks!

Same here. I couldnt go on one no matter how much you paid me

Same here +1. I know these horror stories are isolated incidents especially since there are hundreds of cruises every week that have no problems.

Oh, and cruises seem to be hot spots for norovirus. Another no thank you.

Anonymous wrote:Disney Cruises are fun with kids. Really (and I am not a cruise type person) ... Don't expect 5 star food and such, but they are clean (MUCH cleaner than Disney parks and hotels) and less crowded than Disney parks, and overall a much more pleasant experience than Disney "on land."

Alaska is one place that is supposedly good by cruise boat - you see much from the water that you don't see from land. Other than that or short Disney jaunts, am personally not interested in cruises at all.

Agree completely. Went on a Disney cruise last year and loved it. We all had fun, food was good, plenty to do on ship. Not tacky-looking as someone else said about another cruise line. Staff really dedicated to making sure you have a good time and we all did. I've never been on any other cruise line but would do the Disney cruise again. Of course, it was pretty expensive and we paid for a balcony room higher up on ship. I know Carnival is cheaper, and someone suggested RC to me also because it's cheaper. You get what you pay for.

Me too. Cruises are creating an ecological disaster in the Caribbean.

There have been many, many problems and errors and our ship wasn't disabled. Even though my sister and brother both like the party atmosphere, my wife and I have said that if they choose a family cruise on Carnival that we won't go. We'll go on another line, but not Carnival. Truly the bargain basement of cruise lines. To those who don't like cruising, have you tried a cruise line other than Carnival? I agree that you get what you pay for. You buy a cheap cruise, you get a cheap cruise.

I cruised on Norwegian. It sucked.

Me too. Out of NYC with my husband's family. They canceled one of the ports three days before the cruise. You could only fix your excursions once on the boat. 4000 New Yorkers all running to the trip planning desk as soon as we were out of port. What a waste of vacation time. Ugh.

I'd give a cruise another try, but not Norwegian and I'd upgrade. My ILs paid for it and wanted all of us together, so we were in the bowels of the boat on top it.

I'm the first quoted PP. Thanks for the tips. I'll keep that in mind if we plan another cruise. I'll have to check out the cruisecritic boards to see if these problems are common on NCL.

Yeah well the 99% has to share their ship with a few thousand more people in order to afford it.

Says someone who has never owned a sailboat. We paid less than $10,000 for our boat. It's not expensive. The most expensive thing about cruising to the Bahamas is the entree fee.

Shut the hell up! Moron.

LMFAO! i nearly spit out my soup!
