No refund I dont think.

Her replacement did not work out (I believe she was dealing with a rough family health situation and wound up leaving). Our DC is in another primary room and there hasn't been any turnover the entire time. As far as counseling students out, one chronically troublesome student can take one of the classroom teachers out of circulation as the teacher deals with the student, which just isn't fair to the other students. In DC's class, last year there was a kid who was a total pain in the ass and I frequently saw his bad behavior (I saw him hit teachers, for example) and how one or the other of the teachers was always having to deal with it. Thankfully he's not there anymore. So I think it's totally appropriate -- given that Montessori is not a good fit for every kid (which it isn't) -- to encourage certain students to find a better match.
We're very happy with Franklin. We'd be less happy if DC was in room 3 with the teacher changes, but if the assistant teachers stay the same then there's some continuity anyway.
Rough family situation? She was a disaster and was not a fit with the kids, and there were several parents that pulled their children out mid year. There should be continuity at least within a school year. And it is my understanding that the school knew Miss Mary was leaving well before they told anyone, which was before the school year started when they found out. This is dishonest, just to save money and prevent parents from walking prior to the school year starting. Just leaves a bad feeling.
And Randy is downright nasty if you decide to pull your child out prior to completing 3 years in primary. I have friend that experienced this. Just be prepared.
