The women in the class were very distracting. Who wears tiny boy short(camel toe), Bra tops and such with flabby bellies, anemic arms and no breasts. Women cover yourself as well.
And I am not going to start on the guys wearing speedos..
I stopped going quickly

I looked up men's yoga clothes once and got a bunch of "fishermen's pants." Not sure I could do tree pose in those.
The "compression shorts under gym shorts" idea is probably the best.
I thought you were kidding about the fishermen's pants when searching for men's yoga clothes:

I imagine that they could be useful if you need the drawstring to hang yourself.

Exactly. I'm a yoga teacher and yogi, and the only thing I ever remember a fellow practitioner wearing was this hot girl wearing a tight, almost see through tee - with no bra and hard nipples. I'm definitely not yogic enough not to notice! She was hot. Otherwise, the whole practice is about turning within. Try doing that.

Most of us doing yoga aren't trying to be yogis, as I assume you know.
Some of the spiritual/mindfulness practices might help you, though. PPs on this thread are kind of a mess, psychologically.
