+1 We left our private last year, and it was a year too late. We really should have saved ourselves an entire year of stress, disappointment, and wasted money thrown to the annual gift fund. When signing time came around again, we signed only because we didn't have a plan. We got our plan in place, which was a new house in a great school district, paid the deposit, and left.

Public school has been a very rewarding experience, although something nags at me telling me that we will go back to private again at some point, but for now, all is good and the bank account is very happy.

People are terrible about returning forms. Our school nurse has to hound people for the health forms every year, for example (and that's something that's pretty important!).

Sounds like the school is worried/desperate.

Our school appears to be in great shape by all accounts and we get these kinds of reminders. They come at this time of year because they want to know how many slots they have for admissions, is how I've always interpreted it. Plus, people are terrible about paperwork (I am myself).

+1 Our schools have always done the same and are fully enrolled. +1 I am also terrible at paperwork!
