Consider Dr. Pinckert with Greater Washington Material Fetal Medicine. I saw him with my second (first was born just shy of 10 weeks early) and am now seeing him with my third. With my second I went full term but there was a lot of intervention needed to get me there once my cervix started changing early - P17, modified bed rest, procardia etc. He was on top of everything really helped manage my anxiety. With my third Dr. Pinckert recommended a preventative cerclage and as of now, close to my third trimester and my cervix looks pretty good and I still haven't had to go on bed rest (hopefully this will continue). They have two offices in Maryland but just opened a practice in Northern VA within the past year.

Another vote for perinatal associates. Agree with PP - they are not warm and fuzzy but that is ok because that's not what I need from them/why I go there.

I was a patient of perinatal associates throughout my entire pregnancy and I always felt that I was well taken care of. I was seen by all of the docs but mostly by dr. Nies. They are all outstounding doctors. Dr. Khoury is very nice and he did answer all of my questions as did all of the docs. Dr. Bronsky delivered my baby via unscheduled c section. Although, dr. Brodsky is not warm and fuzzy, I absolutely felt like I was in great hands. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. And I am so glad I was under their care.

Cast my vote for Perinatal Associates and the Fairfax NICU.

My daughter was delivered by Dr. Nies, but I was seen by all the docs in the practice. I didn't find any of them to be warm and fuzzy, but their medical expertise was unparallel. My daughter was not expected to live long after birth. She is very medically complex, but she will be 5 next month.

Dr Khoury was rude and didn't answer my questions.
His office staff is unprofessional.
Dr Collea was great.

I was looking for reviews on Dr. Khoury because I am recommending them to a friend. I used the practice in 2007 for my difficult pregnancy. I LOVED this practice. Dr. Bronsky may not have the best bedside manner.... but he did a good job on my c section. Dr Khoury was very resposive to my concerns. I had no problems with the practice. The outcome of the management of my conditions - diabetes and high blood pressure - was very good. Healthy baby, healthy mom.

I also use Dr Khourry's practice. I have currently met with 3 of the 4 doctors and really liked 2 of them. Dr Khourry who gets great reviews was in a rush and really did not answer my questions satisfactorily. I am hoping that I have another appointment with him and get a better feel for him as a doctor because at this point I am not comfortable with him, although I really liked Nies and Bronsky.

Additionally I had met with Dr Landy at G-town and really liked her, and met Dr. Larsen at GWU and did not like him.

I stumbled across this board in my research for a HROB after moving the NOVA area and finding out that I was pregnant. In my previous pregnancy, I only lived 30 minutes from my doctors, and I fell in love with them, and have struggled (that doesnt really explain how its going, but, itll work) with leaving my phenomenal HR team... I cant speak enough about them.... but this board has given me a little hope to finding a team of doctors that I wont be a patient but a person and my pregnancy wont be a game, but our life... so Im going to give these doctors a call and get all my records transferred.... I have delivered three of our four children at the GT hospital. Unfortunately, they changed dramatically sonce our first three kids (10-16 years back). In 2010 they were awful - I saw five doctors (because they are too busy to see "their own" patients, as well as "hugh-risk" specialists. They were mostly unresponsive to my needs, they managed to miss at least one "failed" sugar test, adn only after i inisted and bothered them they agreed to retest (and shure enough I had a diabities which required a special diet, and attention). They also managed to "forget" to give me a Rogham shot (for rhesus negative) which could cost your baby his/her life!!! - I had to research that I needed it at the time of that particular bleeding situation and call again and again to insist they do it. If it would not be for my 4th child I would not have known all of these tests and shots, and I could have ended up with some serious problems for my baby. At to finish up the story - they absolutely demanded taht I do the c-section for two months coming up with all sorts of scarry and very stressful for the pregagnant woman scenarios. Finally, they said that this is the liability issue to them (because I tend to have big babies - 8.15 - 10lbs) and if I do not agree I will have to find another practice. I agreed eventually very very relactant (and in tears), and guess what - the baby was the smallest we ever had (8.8lbs), and chopping me up in pieces (and making it so much more difficult to care for the baby and for other 3 kids) was completely and totally unnessacary after all - it was all because they did not want to consider a risk (although the same practice but unfortunately doctors who left delivered our trully large babies - 9.15 and 9.8lbs and were very supportive of the natural vaginal birth). We went to GT because we trusted their expertise (and with good reason in 1998 and 2001) but unfotruntelyy they changed alot! And now they all about making money on you, sitting and waiting for 45-60 minutes, being on hold for a nurse even in tru emergency for 45 minutes, having little time for their patients and apparently most of all protecting themselves at all cost from possible (and natural) complications of pregnancy and delivery. I don't trust them any more, they treated us very poorly. However, the nurses in the recovery unit are fantasitc!!! If only they could give lessons of care to doctors! The lactation support was also great! Very personal, attentive and caring. We are pregnant again with our fifth, and we are looking for a better caring and professional practice.

I am currently a patient at GT I see a general ob as well as consult with Dr. Landy and have seen Dr Collea this is my 5th preg at Gt the first was a preemie and only spent 6 days in the Nicu they were great - the other two had some problems but nothing that could not be managed and the fourth unfortunately was born an angel - I am once again preg and am going there again - thought about changing but decided to stay

Exactly, exactly, exactly (down to the delivery by Dr. Nies). If I'm fortunate enough to have a second I will happily go back to that practice.

Agree the post partum floor of Fairfax is so/so on customer service and personal care because they are so busy and the nurses don't spend too much time with you, but I cannot say enough great things about the ante-partum (high risk pregnancy) unit, as well as the NICU doctors. I spent 11 weeks on HRP under the care of Dr. Khoury and his partners during a very scary situation (there was a question about whether my twins would even make it...THEY DID!). Dr. Khoury and all the nurses, as well as the NICU docs and especially nurses could not have been kinder or more helpful to us. You cannot go wrong at this practice, though I will caution that Dr. Bronsky is very cocky and can be condescending. I figure he has a "god complex" because he's in the business of saving lives. I'm just fine with that because he helped save my babies.
