I have several pairs which I love. They have a kind of wide waistband which is not binding at all, they are the kindest to my little muffin topI wear mine several times a week and they still look great after close to a year.
Re: length, I am short, I solve the length/hemming problem by only buying capris.

I wear mine several times a week and they still look great after close to a year.
