Wow. This has made me so glad to have left biglaw. I had six months maternity leave and no one at my firm resents me. Why? Because the women almost all have children and have taken leave and the men almost all have children and appreciate what their wives are doing for them as mothers (whether in or outside the home). My advice? You live in DC. It's full of jobs for lawyers. Get another job.
