I concur with the recommendation of Vanicream. My mother's derm recommended it after her allergy tests. The company that makes it has a variety of lotions, cleansers, shampoo, sunscreen. I've used the lite lotion, cleanser and shampoo. It's the only thing that has ever worked with my skin.

You can buy pure vitamin E oil, and also pure aloe vera, and mix your own. I'm sure you can read up about making your own online.

You might have a lot of inflammation (C-Reative Protein test is one way to determine; elimination diet is another) in your body which may be why you're skin is reacting to everything. If so, cutting down on the inflammation is your only way to deal with the breakouts. I wash with water and some scrubbing because much "dirt" is really dead skill cells. I try using a hat instead of sunscreen and stay out of the sun during the intense hours and finally and most importantly, keep the inflammation to a minimum (have a chronic illness) and use products sparingly. I'm with the others, you have to keep trying. Dr.. Hauschka has products that generally are ok. GL

Bullfrog uses a really different kind of formula, maybe that would work.

I react to a ton of stuff.

I get along okay with Eucerin for a body cream and avocado oil for a face moisturizer. I skip foundation most of the time, and use a BB cream and powder, though.

I use Caress for soap and Purex for laundry soap.

For makeup, I use L'Oreal, but if I were reacting to it, I would go to a make-up counter or pharmacy and do some DIY skin tests. Put a little sample on your hand and see if you react. If you don't, buy a bottle of that brand. If you do, come back tomorrow and try something else.

I've had great luck with Theraplex Emollient for the bod (it's similar in consistency to axel grease but it's not greasy). For the face I use Osmosis skincare line. It is an enzyme exfoliating cleansing system. I use La Roche-Posy w/mexoryl sun protection. Night cream is DDF or DHC oil, I alternate. Good luck finding a system that works for you, it's really trial & error.

I'll try, thank you! I've successfully used Banana Boat Baby sunscreen, but they have changed the formula and I am now allergic to it.

Dr. Moshell in Friendship Heights. He's with Georgetown, so a student will see you first, but he spent at least 20 minutes with me after the student talking me through routines/products to deal with eczema. I was SHOCKED -- most derms are bored to death with the condition. He's big on bleach baths (which I already knew about and find VERY helpful), anti-histamines to prevent/control itch, and Cerave (loving it so far) or Restoraderm for basic moisture. Also prescribes steroids and other topicals (Elidel) as needed.

In general, I need to shower daily and use moisturizer, be very careful about handsoaps/dishsoaps, and I think (not really sure) that I've seen some benefit to reducing dairy/gluten. If I get bad again, I will be more aggressive with the diet.
