Yeah, but how does some out of college 7 yrs have $200k saved up. Saving $30k a year while living in Arlington is impressive, but I guess possible.

A little puzzled by how they can afford $600k on his salary alone; does a Lead Associate at Booz pull down $200k?

My brother is a Lead Associate at Booz and he makes 6 figures, but not $200k... more in the $125k range. I wonder how much they put down- that obviously makes a big difference in their monthly payment.

I'm not sure I agree. Smaller homes have been selling in my 22042 neighborhood for the mid 500's. Sleepy Hollow is a nice area and this house is nicely renovated. $600,000 sounds about right for the current market.

I loved this episode. When it started I thought they were in for a rude awakening. I found him to be annoying: clueless about the area he lives in and ridiculous with the all of the tvs for football. I kept thinking: your life is going to change when you have kids! Why would anyone want to marry someone who watches football for 11 hours? I know this happens, but ugh.

I was surprised they went with the house in Falls Church.

Seriously, not everyone can afford those zip codes, and obviously many children survive and even thrive in those schools.

Really?? That's a bit of an exaggeration, don't you think? There definitely are more highly regarded pyramids in Fairfax County but it's all relative. Even the "worst" schools in Ffx county are pretty good when compared with the rest of the country.
