Is this maturing in a dish something that all clinics do? I am at CFA and wondering whether they use that method.

15:14 here ... you know, every other cycle (5 before this current one), I've felt pretty sure of a negative result just about 7 days in. But, I figure, there isn't much that can happen at day 7 that would make me sure it had worked. One of these times the expected bad news might be good, you know?

I'm one day in and 13 to go (with a side trip for progesterone testing).

PPs who are having trouble with your nurses not giving you enough info, just an FYI that it's ok to ask for a new nurse. We've done it and it worked out great. If you aren't happy with the information you are getting then ask for recommendations here and elsewhere and switch to a nurse who gives you the support you need.

I did a clomid IUI cycle. I do think the timing was off, that's what is worrying me. I think I ovulated late. So I'm hoping those little spermies were strong and long living. Dr. A is my doc at CFA, and she was very rough. The procedure was not painful, but it was an extremely uncomfortable 3 minutes while whe she using the speculum.

This is my second one. My first one worked, but resulted in a MC.

My iui was about 39 hours after trigger. My previous successful one was about the same. I don't know that i ovulated later, it just "felt"[i] like it. Unfortunately, hubby is out of town, so I had to use frozen this time and could not have intercourse the night of, but did 2 days before.

I like the PP poster. I barely see Dr. A. But that doesn't bother me a whole lot (okay maybe a little). I really like my nurse (Crystal). She answers all of my questions and returns my calls really quickly.

What I am upset about as a side note, is the fact that their prices went up for clomid iui cycle. In January, I paid $1000 and I had to pay $1500 this time.

I am so praying this one works. I know it will...I know it will...I know it will...

My successful IUI was actually mere 12 hours after the trigger. We didn't have sex, either. I know this is not common, and if you go by the book, is maybe even inappropriate timing, but, the bottom line is, it has worked for me. At the very least, I would like to have done back to back IUIs.

I actually like Dr. A but I barely see her. All I have to go on are nurses' calls, where, unless I specifically inquire, I am given annoyingly vague info ("your results are fine"). I was so frustrated with this that I requested a copy of my records (which I had to pay for). What a disappointment that has been!!! The records are a total mess - lab reports contain no info on the day of the cycle, no AFC, only 2 out of 5-6 sperm analyses in the file, all ultrasounds totally illegible and worthless (no follicle counts or sizes)...

PP: Have you asked Dr. A to explain why she is using the protocol she is? Whatever people say about her bedside manner (and I've never had a problem with her), she is very direct and has always answered every question I've had.

My main concern was that I had a successful IUI and it was different from what CFA is doing. It was different in timing, medication and monitoring. Granted, the successful conception happened almost 2 years ago so maybe it has nothing to do with the protocol. However, I am kind of upset that CFA paid no attention whatsoever to what actually worked (for example, I had much thicker lining on my successful IUI; I was given Aspirin and estrace etc).

I'm with CFA three and had my IUI this morning. We had sex night of trigger and will tonight or very early tomorrow morning, so I'm hoping bases are covered.

14:51 did you have intercourse the night of? If so, I wouldn't worry. Also, what makes you think it was late? 14:55 what do you think was not right about your own?

I wish the clinics published their IUI success rates. I am also at CFA and I think the timing of my IUIs was off.
