Yes and no. I'm always amazed how Mr. Hot Dad succumbs to the lure of someone several tiers down, as in the only thing going for her is that she is young and has a vagina (I think). But you're also forgetting the fugly nerds who come to D.C., make it big on the Hill or the law firms or land some fancy titled govt position, and start hitting on all of those gals who would not have given them the time of day 20 years ago (in part because they were only 3 years old).

Most likely, if it was a free cheat. As I've paid for all of mine, I've gone both up and down. In the end, a release is a release. Whatever gets the job done.

Totally agree with the above post. I think some men (including my DH) are not cheaters. Just aren't. He would be clueless if a woman threw herself at him. He has always been good looking, even now 25 years later, so I'm sure somewhere along the line a woman has tried flirting with him. He just wouldn't have the time, the energy, the desire, or know how to flirt back so eventually the other woman would be dead in the water and lose interest. That's just not his MO.

I have come across married men who seem to be actively fishing for someone to cheat. They are the type that flirt with every woman they come across. They tend to have lots of women "friends" whom they spend a lot of time with either at lunch or talk with during the work day. Conversations often get too personal and probing. Their MO is by casting a wide enough net, eventually they will find a woman to say yes. But they need the opportunity and timing to follow through. If the cheater has this, it's a no brainer, he will have sex with her.
