I feel exactly the way you do. I guess it's a question of degrees of importance. I attach a high level of importance to pro-choice. I think that under the Dems we've had a strong and active military and I've been surprised at how well Obama (and Hillary) have done on international affairs. I agree that govt is too involved in our lives; I am most worried about Patriot Act type suspension of constitutional rights. Which I think will be bad whomever wins.

I think we've had a problem in this country for a long time now with the concentration of wealth in the hands of an elite. I don't think society can sustain that without, frankly, ending up with severe civil unrest. Which would undermine my nice cozy six figures and house in the burbs of FFX. It's in my best interest to make sure people don't starve because they are unemployed or disabled or too old to work. I think that the Romney committment to cutting taxes for the rich and cutting programs for everyone else will exacerbate this problem.

I feel that I don't really like either candidate but Obama is the lesser evil. "Kick the can down the road" re: Palestine and Israel indeed.

I thought Caribou Barbie was pretty well known as a nickname for Palin? I know I've heard it before. Did Olbermann come up with it? No matter, it's damn funny.

I can not vote for Romney. I just can not vote for a party that will raise taxes on 47% of American.

Even though I generally liked and supported Clinton's policies, I would have voted for McCain in 2008 over Gore had your party had the good judgment to nominate him then. The McCain of 2000 was a social and economic moderate and I liked him. Fast forward to 2008 and I cold barely recognize the man anymore. It's been nice to see glimmers of the 2000-era McCain return.

Someone figured out that that is cap gains tax. At the debates he said that if the proposal to cut cap gains taxes went through he would pay no taxes....

So now that you know that Republicans created the tax credits which caused the number to climb to 47%, your HONEST answer is to vote for another Republican. That's your answer, and you're sticking to it.

I am the Republican that will vote for Obama. If it was Biden running - there is no way I would vote for him....however he is the VP and me voting for Obama says a lot about how much I have no faith about what Romney would do for the country. Believe me - I have suffered first economically hand since Obama has been in office but I am smart enough to place the blame on him. A president cannot simply fix things in a 4 year term no matter what party you side with.
