I was there! The speech was jimmy carter ... Word for word. I would have laughed but then I would have to take the clothespin off my nose so I figured it wasn't worth the risk.

Sobbing on the couch is the reaction people have to dictators, such as Hitler or Stalin or Mussolini. Brainwashers who appeal to every emotion you have.

We're Americans and we don't sob on the couch about our leader. We have a president, not a king or a dictator. Well, we aren't supposed to, anyway. God knows where Obama is headed on that spectrum.

Anyway, get a hold of yourself or move to a different country where your histrionics would be more appropriate.

Fear and hatred are what you have for Mussolini, Stalin, or Hitler. Sobbing on your couch seems to me to be a reasonable reaction when your democratically elected president speaks movingly of what you think is great about America. And that could be Obama talking about community and citizenship, Reagan talking about the City on the Hill, or FDR reminding you that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself!

Telling those who have different emotions than you to get out of the country -- now that is suitable for a dictatorship!

I am "sobbing on my couch" for the way the elected delegates sitting inside that convention center were treated during the vote to amend the platform. Isn't it better to respect the process than overthrow it if you get blow-back? The damage was done when God was omitted from the platform and Jerusalem was not stated to be the Capital of Israel. The damage was amplified when the way it was mishandled and then covered-up by Ms. Wasserman Schultz, Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Schumer and Rahm Emanuel. What a disgrace to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country whose greatest export has been our democratic ideals. Machiavellian. Makes me sick.

OP was sobbing. You're just being an SOB.

Yeah, whatever. The resolution was passed. Crowd dynamics being what they are, it was a bit of a flub. But if you are a Romney Republican, you are too funny calling anyone Machiavellian.

One of the best nights of your life? How sad.
