OP, your experience was why I didn't let my children play at the playland inside our local mall. The kids were allowed to run wild and the germs...I just couldn't imagine the germs on that equipment. At least if you are outside, there is rain to wash some of the gunk away.

FYI -- your child and you need a tetanus shot for any wound that breaks the skin and potentially introduces bacteria. It's good for 7-10 years.

I think what PP is trying to say is that classy people take responsibility for their actions, and take time with their children as needed. Malls et al? Not so classy people. It is just like people picking a certain preschool, etc. Once in a while you get someone who is not a good fit (putting it nicely) they do not last long.
