I know personally how much better I feel when I'm in better shape, how my outlook changes, how my energy carries me through. So when I see an obese leader I can't help but to think he's not being the best leader he can be because his poor health simply won't allow it. It's my choice to allow this reasoning to enter into my voting decision-making. So if the anti-Obama poster on this thread allows Obama's supposed odor to sway his vote, that's cool. But I suspect this guy isn't has hung up on odor as he is skin color...
Well, the same could be argued about your statements regarding someone about whom you clearly don't know personally well enough to make informed judgments. Maybe you're not as hung up on health as you are on appearance. Just because you don't function at a particular level when you're in poor shape doesn't mean other people have the same constraints. They may have the kind of genetics that enable them to function a lot better than you when faced with similar physical challenges.
You're calling it reasoning based on health considerations, but what you're describing is an attitude toward overweight people that's ignorant and offensive.
