Because I'm sick of women's pants without pockets that will even hold a cell phone. It is freaking ridiculous. Men's clothing manages to have nifty pockets, buttons in useful places, and is made to be tailored. At the same price point, women's clothing is cheaply made, has little fake nonfunctional pockets, and is difficult if not impossible to alter without disassembling the entire garment. Women's pants get possibly 3 inseam choices, men get them every inch or two at the most, if they don't come unhemmed to be hemmed to order.


Some of us actually work in clothing: something besides sit in an office and shuffle papers.

I think the TB bag in navy sounds great. I love the color navy for this season.

Try Patio Bullrich in Recoleta and the boutiques in Palermo Hollywood and San isidro.

I suggest you spend $750 on a plane ticket to Buenos Aires and then buy a beautiful bag for $150 (peso is 4 to the dollar, you can get something amazing for this) and spend the rest on an excellent steak dinner and a mid-range hotel.

And yes, you typically can tell the difference between a $2000 bag and a $100 bag. Also between $200 jeans and wranglers. (although I do believe often some of the in between brands can be as good, as I pointed out in the jeans thread, eg j brand and Ann Taylor). Its not just the label.

Look into Mulberry and Kooba. I'm actually liking JCrew bags - classic, I think around $300. Prada is right over the $1k mark.
