By the way, as to the campaign being about jobs, jobs, jobs, I'd like not only to ditto the poster who pointed out that it's what the OP wants to campaign about much more than what they want to govern about, it is in fact not something the government can do an awful lot about anyway, as any honest conservative would admit, but what little Obama has tried to do, to help states, for example, has mostly been blocked by Republicans in Congress.

This has gotten complicated enough that I don't know which PP is on which side.
FWIW, I'm a liberal who believes that Republican policy does amount to a virtual war on women, and that it's only a minor exaggeration to omit "virtual". Incidentally, I'm a man, and I am ashamed of the way male legislators make decisions I can't imagine they would allow women to make about our rights.

Just this year Virginia passed laws to regulate all abortion clinics in such a way to force most of them to close. And also just this year they passed the ultrasound law.
Arizona recently passed a law banning abortion at 20 weeks.
And the GOP platform is going to include a plank calling for a constitutional ban on abortion.
Mitt Romney has already promised to end funding for planned parenthood. He defended himself in the primary campaign as staunchly pro-life.
Republicans may not WANT to be talking about abortion. They would LOVE for it to go away until after the election. But they have not laid down their weapons on this one. They are still working hard on it.
So inconvenient as it may be, abortion is an important issue and precisely because you made it so.

It is my understanding that legislatures pass laws, and they seem pretty busy in this area.
If you don't want abortion to be an issue, don't select candidates that promise to introduce laws to limit a woman's right to abortion.
And FWIW Liberty always was, and always will be the greatest singular issue.

Oh that's rich. The Republican party spends an extraordinary amount of energy passing laws limiting a woman's right to abortion. But if she complains, it's her failure to focus!
Your concern is misplaced. If you want a party focused on jobs and prosperity, get them to limit themselves to jobs and prosperity.
You and your people have blinders on and can't even see no one is focusing on this more than you. There is no endingwanding and both republicans and democrats are united on the same stance towards this issue.
