In other parts of the World, the snakehead is good eats. We believe that it's good to eat the snakehead especially after surgery. I've been to the wet market to buy some before. The fish seller took one (about 18" long) out of the tank and proceeded to clogger the head. He must have whacked a dozen times to get it to die before cutting it up for me. It was yummy!

Yep, It has been hard to find decent seafood, which is surprising to me too since we are only a couple hours from the eastern shore. I grew up within walking distance to the beach and I really miss that fresh seafood taste I can't seem to find around here yet. Especially fish. I can barely bring myself to order it at a restaurant unless it's very high end, I assume it came frozen. Even then I am suspicious unless it had a fresh market in front!

River Falls Seafood does have an adjacent restaurant but it's not new. It's called Renatos and it's been under River Falls ownership for at least 4 year The restaurant is Italian, and they have a fantastic whole "Mediterranean" dorado on the menu. We've been there 4 times for that fish. They also have a very good pasta with seafood. Can't speak for the Italian "favorites" because I've never tried them.

This is the new restaurant that River Falls opened around 5 months ago. It is ok, Fairly expensive and yes, some of the fish is from the store. Black Salt is way above this place.

Renato in no way is worth your time or effort to come to Potomac. it is ok but the suggestions mentioned above are far better.

Grillfish, south of Dupont, north of Foggy Bottom.
