Neither DH or I are comfortable with it and we do not do it. I think it's weird, but not in a sexual/ romantic way and I wouldn't think it was inappropriate for someone else to do, we just don't. I am Caucasian, DH is Hispanic.

Yea, I'm with 99% of the other PPs here. If you have weird hangups about kissing on the lips, it's your issue. Kissing on the lips is not, in and of itself, romantic. It is affectionate, no matter whether it's romantic or familial.

Of course we do! DD is beloved and we kiss her all the time <3

I still kiss my grandparents, parents and siblings on the lips, too. DH doesn't but only because Asians aren't very kissy/huggy to other adults (only to babies).

Yes! White family. My dad, in his 50s, kisses his dad, in his 70s, on the lips. I kiss my mom on the lips as well as my teenage sister. It is a sign of affection and not sexual.

I agree with this; I posted earlier that I find it strange when I see parents/people doing this within their families.

AA here. I kiss my 2 yo on the lips. But, when he tries to his me, it's pretty messy and slimy - but they're sweet baby-love kisses and I love them though. My 8 yo, I don't kiss him on the lips anymore, but sometimes he wants to (maybe b/c everyone else gets mouth kisses except for him - DH and 2yo) so I let him.

But, when he was little, I kissed him on the lips. The problem was that he kissed other random people on the lips too - like his day care teacher and the woman who watches the kids at the gym - I hated that.

OP here, glad that I'm not a complete weirdo. I always thought kidding on the lips was just standard. My WHOLE family does it.

I kissed my first boyfriend with a peck on the lips. I wasn't Frenching anyone til my THIRD boyfriend. I still considered those first kisses "romantic". I don't think you have to have your tongue down someone's throat to think of it as a romantic kiss.

That's it in a nutshell, there are no romantic thoughts involved when you are kissing your own children so their first romantic kisses will still be special because of the feelings not the act itself.

Oh, please. Not all kisses on the lips are romantic. There is nothing wrong with a platonic kiss, My children do not have any problems with boundaries and our family kisses on the lips.
